Neither of the HW event organisers will allow robots less than 50kg in the arena with the flippers, after they let Tanto Jnr in

sort of kills the idea then   . if anything it was an experiment to see if i could get 4 robots to attack a victim autonamously. maybe the theory could be applied to minisumo ! , but thats another thread altogether  .

Its not really a official "rule", seen as a heavyweight is classes as 51-100kg, but as Dave says, they won't allow any robot below about 75kg to fight heavyweight flippers. And as 90% of heavys out there are flippers, you'd hardly ever get a fight, and never one in competition.

FW's have been thrown into the nets before and torn holes, but also a MW nearly exited the arena over the polycarb and into Geoff Smith's lap :P

I was there when it happend and Geoff was never in any sort of danger. It does scare the pants of you if a Tanto Jr. comes smashing into your polycarb but that is what the polycarb is there for.

I don't see how this rule can be enforced though, if a 3 way cluster registers with 3 33kg cluster parts they are in fact a 99kg robot.
Best regards,
