BTW I went to a model railway show the other day, and was talking to an exhibitor about the Brighton show and it turns out that each layout is allowed to visit the show ONLY ONCE, so we are very fortunate to be invited back every year, I think.

Simon, that is patently UNTRUE!

I have been visiting Modelworld regularly for many years, and there are many exhibits that appear year-in, year-out.

The organisers may prefer railway clubs to rotate their exhibition displays to provide some variety, but I can think of several layouts that I have seen on more than one occasion. There is nothing in the paperwork about only exhibiting once.

Non-railway exhibits such as ours ARE invited back time after time, for example Worthing Society of Model Engineers, the HOT Racers (R/C cars), the R/C tank people, the Daleks, and even that shifty-looking bloke with the R2-D2 :wink:

However, we still need to provide an interesting and useful display for visitors to ensure that we do get invited back next year.

BTW, we may be somewhere different this year, just to provide a bit of variation to the layout.

OK Gary, I've got to admit that all those layouts look pretty much the same to me! I'm much more interested in the tools.

Anybody got any artwork or signs we could use? I always feel the area looks a bit bare and unenticing. I can probably get some stuff printed out if someone can do the artwork....

Peter W's daughter produced some fantastic flyers - I'm sure we could get the digital artwork and make a sign out of the logo part ... how about it Peter W?

WRT the new electrical safety rules, our department at work has just inherited a PAT tester. Anything that can get to me before the event can now be PAT tested. (PAT = Portable Appliance Test)

I am sure I could get an artwork but the handouts didn't have the Antweight logo on them so if anyone has a good high resolution copy of the logo perhaps they could let me have it. I have an A2 printer so I could probably do a few posters of antweights to stick on the walls.

How are we doing with our legal run-all-day robots guys? I'm expecting to see lots of movement out there this year!

We have had our stand position confirmed for this year.

We are stand no 40, in the same place as previous years.

You will be able to collect your exhibitors badges from the organisers stand at the exhibitors entrance.

For anyone that needs a badge in advance (to use the park & ride), email me your address and I'll put one in the post. If you need directions etc also email, I think most people have been before and know the drill.

Don't forget receipts for expenses, especially hotels.

@Simon: You will need to sign Nathan in as an under-14 when you arrive. The form will be at the organiser's stand.

@Oliver: I assume you're stand no 39?
