SKP (Escape)

Weapon speedcontroller
a Sentilon100A HV 2-12S Speed Controller

Weapon
250 mm 3,5 kg one tooth Hardox disk, direct drive by a custom rebuilt 1,8 Kw nominal brushless motor (motor = disk)
i say nominal cause the nominal amps of the brushless are around 80 amps at 24v, the internal resistance of the motor is just 0.047 Ohm, which means a stall current of 510 Amp or 12,3 Kw of radiant heat.

Battery
a 7 cell 2 parallel A123 batterypack, so 22,4v 4,6 Ah (around 240 amp peak discharge)

Drive
HTI or Speed 700 with a custom 1:16 gearbox, driving 70 mm HDPE wheels, driven by a Robowars IBC.

Frame
Waterjetcut/CNC framerails connected by a 50 mm diameter Carbon Tube (similar construction as Katjusha the 2nd )

Armour
Front armor will be 4 mm Hardox 450, rear armor a blend of Titanium and Carbon/Kevlar in the red/black of DBA.

I used an SLA from a fire alarm system. It was rubbish. Stick with NiMh or NiCd at the least.
