AWS 69 - Wolverton, Milton Keynes - 19th November 2023

Post by loftyD »

Hello all!

AWS 69 will be hosted by the Milton Keynes Bot Fighting Club at the Wolverton Scout Hall (Address: 1st Wolverton Scout Hall, Furze Way, Wolverton MK12 5AQ) Sunday 19th November 2023. (Same venue for those who attended AWS 61 right before the pandemic; this bodes well haha)

The venue opens from 8am and and we have the venue till 6pm; we would like to start the competition and complete necessary tech checks, weigh-ins, failsafe testing etc etc by 9:30am.

Please signup at http://rmpg.ly/aws-69; you'll be allowed up to 4 robots per team.

Just to re-iterate, this AWS is on a SUNDAY, not Saturday :)

Cheers!

Ben

Sadly I'm already double booked that day, would have been fun to see how much longer Grinding Nemo can avoid meeting a spinner! Ah well, there's always AWS 70.

Just so it’s on record: congrats again to Adam and Expandabot regaining their title, a hard fought one with 108 robots in attendance (first time in 3-digits since the pandemic), and well done to Rob Weston for 2nd with Auger the top; nice to see an unconventional weapon do well :)

Big well done to the organisers Ben and Eli for hosting and for the great event, even with a few technical mishaps :P.

Next AWS info is on the forum, AWS 70 will be hosted by Matt Smith (Team Croc - Pantherk et al) in Rotherham in March :).
