As I already said over on Facebook, it shouldn't be an issue. Just depends if my stepdad will be bothered about having to drive me to two events on two weekends in a row.

which arena is being used? i liked the aws arena so if the difference is the arena then i'm cool with it being an aws... if its not a difference in arenas, would you mind explaining the differences between the 2 events... i have only attended aws and antfreeze so the open is new ground for me...
Hi. The antweight open was an event I used to run. It was similar to the AWS but it had more games like antweight football and raceway afterwards. I think this one will likely be an AWS though.

I can't commit to anything after September sadly, as I have no idea what my timetable will look like or even where I'll be based!
That said, if I can make it? I'm in.

As all of the AWS events have been allocated this year, this event will be antweight open. It will consist of a main ant tournament, fleaweights, nanoweights and whatever else everyone wants to do.

Has anything yet been sorted with regards to floating robots as we could run a competition for them as well if there is still interest.

Other things we could run are: raceway, football, annihilators and tag team depending on what people want to do and of course time restraints but we should be able to fit a few games in.

im up for a straight 2v2 tournament... seen a lot on youtube (the ARC in Australia) and they look like good fun... football also looks like good fun (rocket league fan) and the usual antweight tourney... i also have a flea built so a fleaweight tourney will be a good test for it...

but to be honest, im happy with anything really...

We could definitely do a doubles tournament. They are always fun and the one at bristol bots looked pretty good.

trouble with 2v2 though is spinners... not many people want to team up with a spinner as they can cause just as much damage to team mates as opponent's...

it should either be non spinner 2v2's with random team mate or unrestricted 2v2 with teams able to choose their team mate... i wouldnt mind too much teaming with a spinner... but this depends on the spinner in question...

both of these types have their advantages, the first allows for unorthodox teams and would possibly stop 1 team of super experienced drivers with ridiculously good robots dominating... and the other... well spinner destruction is a pretty decent argument for why the other is good...

i dont think random teams and spinners would work as teams may not want to be damaged by their own team mate...

also, if the 2v2 took place before the main event, spinners could damage a bot badly enough so that it wouldnt be able to take part in the main event...

but allowing spinners would allow some spinner only teams to take part also...

We could possibly do the doubles as the non spinner warm up before the main event.
