Is anyone willing to collect from Banbury train station? Or at least share a taxi? It’s quoted £25 each way and thats very expensive for 1 person.

Unfortunately I’m not able to make for this Saturday anymore, but I’ll be there at the next one, hopefully with more bot! :(

Shakey said he was coming along too but he hasn't signed up yet so I'd expect it to be even higher by Saturday.

Out of curiosity, what's the record for number of bots at an event?

well... 114 bots, each fighting at least twice, 3mins per fight... thats nearly 6 hours of fighting if robots lasted the full 3 mins... and thats each just having the 2 fights... semi's, final and mini games not included...

it may be an idea to knock the fight time down to 2mins to allow for some leaway...

seeing as its likely to average around 1 minute between each fight as people are getting the arena cleared and restocked... thats another hour almost...

there is (according to your event timetable) 6h15m of actual combat time...

if each fight lasted the full 2mins that already knocks around an hour off of the 3 minute fight time... bringing it down to under 6 hours for each bot to fight twice and 1 minute of dilly-dallying between fights...

heres hoping a decent amount of fights last no more than a minute... if say, half the fights lasted 1 minute thats around another hour saved which may be enough time for the finals and mini games ect...

take this with a pinch of salt as maths was never my strong point, but it may be worth checking if i am correct as it may help planning the day a bit better seeing as theres such a big turnout expected...

hopefully you can work something out to get the day done without a hitch...

remember, failing to prepare is preparing to fail

I have checked and we have the hall untill 7. So i am going to revise the time table up a little.

We will have to be super strict on fight times. If Incan ask you all to be ready tonfight when your bot is called.

We will try to avoid short fights unless absolutly nessercery.

Is there a second arena that could be used, maybe just for the first round or two?

Its probably not necessary, but could help timings if you are struggling to squeeze everything in.
