I should be coming by train from Birmingham International
If anyone else going into Rugby by train wants to travel together and maybe share a taxi rather than the bus let me know. :)

AWS rules state a maximum of 4 bots per team, and at least one of the 4 must be a clusterbot or a walker.
Where is this mentioned in the rules?

Ah OK, thanks. So in that case, in the event of a team entering multiple Ants (meaning more than 1, which includes myself), at least one of them has to be a walker or cluster or does that only apply to teams where they are entering 4?

You can enter up to 3 robots of any type it is only when you want to enter a fourth robot in a team does the restriction come into effect.

Exactly.
It was a rule initially added to encourage people to build walkers. Nobody was building them as part of their 3 ant team because they rarely won fights, so a conditional 4th slot was added. Basically, if the team built a walker, they got to enter it as a 4th as an insentive.
Around AWS18, I suggested adding clusterbots to the conditions, as nobody was building them either, which was voted on and accepted. Though it was much harder to build clusters and walkers back then! But the rule was designed to encourage innovation and I think it still does, with notable robots such as Peter's various mutAnt walkers, Drumbledore, Robox 3D, Wedge Wedge Wedge, Kwejibo and EPZ coming into existence because of it. At the last AWS it was a pleasure to watch the I'm With Stupid Cluster do so well too.

Many thanks, had me worried for a moment ;) Might be worth clarifying the wording of that rule then to be more explicit... something like this perhaps?
5g) A team may enter a maximum of four robots.
i. Upon entering four robots, three can be of any mobility currently permitted, the fourth must be either a cluster or a walker.
Just a thought ;)

Ha, yeah, wording of rule debates have been going on since day 1. Eventually we all got a bit bored and just went with what we all knew anyway. It was usually my fault, to be fair, ha. Your wording is perfect though.
