Well, I enjoyed that! :D

Big thanks to John and family for putting on another great event, long may it continue (although with its popularity we may need a bigger room!) :)

Great to see so many new faces attending, hopefully antweights will make it back to big screen again if this expansion continues.

Thanks to the various people who helped during the event with tools and glue or extra hands, I appreciate it :).

So, after 12 years I’ve finally won an Antweight event in the UK! Not bad for a robot that should have been retired 2 years ago! But I am going to retire Baby Hell now; put that chassis on display and print a new one so I can use it at live events still; let it go out on a high ;).

See you all at the AWS!

My first event, what a great introduction to Ant Weights!

My objective was to get there, so winning a few rounds was a great bonus; can't wait to see the videos. I might then actually have some idea what was going on!

Only damage is 1 wheel that got explosively deconstructed, and a brushless motor, it's a bit wonky thanks to whatever bent the blade in half the Gladiator round, so, total cost of the event was £10 + fuel + £5 for a mug! Bargain for a day's entertainment, thanks to John and everyone involved in running the event.

Thanks for the great event John.

Had a great time at my first event. Won some fights lost some fights and have 24601 in bits.

Clearly I need to put it back together and make another one so I get a bit more playtime.
Thanks for the day guys hope to see you all again soon.
Jeremy.

Looking forward to seeing the video from this one.

My last delivery came today (and back to the sorting office!) So the build starts tomorrow

I have spent the last month watching every video on youtube to keep me going until all the parts arrive!

Harry's uploaded the video, and I've added my usual comment with the timestamps for the fights.

Enjoy!

Hi everyone, thanks for coming and making the event so enjoyable. Thanks to Harry for doing a great job of the video.
Congratulations to all the winners, it was the biggest AntFreeze yet, probably bigger than some AWS events, quite an achievement to win it so well done Dave.

On the Sunday I decided to see if I could film the arena from above so I climbed onto the arena (it was on the floor at home). Well I missed my footing and fell onto the corner of it with my shin, then hit the tiled floor with my elbow :) two days off work with a damaged nerve in my elbow so far. Definitely a good filming view though so will sort it for next AF6.
