Even if you don't sort it out it might still be worth bringing it along as there will be lots of experienced roboteers at the event that might be able to help you out.

In other news: we have now secured the booking for the venue.

Might have to, the receiver is just refusing to bind to the transmitter now

That doesn't matter to be honest.

Hi guys. we have a provisional day schedual and I can now divulge a few more event details. so here we go....

9:00-organisers arrive and set up the tables, chairs, computers, etc.
9:30-registration opens.
10:30-main AWS begins.

The AWS will then continue until its conclusion. After this, we'll do the awards ceremony and then the flea and nano tournaments will commence. They may be double elimination, they may be single elimination depending on competitor numbers and time constraints. If time is really tight, it may end up being one robot per team in the fleas and nanos but i'm hoping that wont be necessary. If there is time left after that we will run the annihilator.

Could I ask all roboteers to please be prompt with registration upon arrival so that we can get the AWS started as quickly as possible, especially if we have a big turn out which hopefully we will as its people who make the party. :)

Additional: my Nana, Janet is coming along to this AWS and will, as usual be our provider of sandwiches and homemade cakes :). we will also have big bottles of carbonated beverages, a hot water machine for making tea and coffee and some snacky bits and pieces. :)

so far we've only got a few teams signed up, come on guys! ;)

Dan, I'd suggest you do the AWS awards as soon after the end of the AWS as possible, before/during the fleas/nanos, as several people that don't have fleas and/or nanos like to get away as soon as possible especially if they have a long drive home. This certainly happened after the last AWS and it's always a little embarassing if the "Best Newcomer" has gone home before they get presented with their certificate.
