Re: Nuneaton Open anyone?
I would prefer our normal individual competition with maybe a team event run afterwards if people really want one.
We already have teams that win many competitions if two of them join up like Scot and Andy the result is almost a forgone conclusion.
I don't see how we can have people turn up possibly from long distances to be told they can't compete.

Then I don't do it.
Also, I was thinking a random draw of teams would be a lot fairer, I agree on the Andy/Scott comment, but their robots would suck at Gauntlet

Very true. I really enjoyed Ant Freeze and the way it was run. Another one like that in September would be absolutely perfect.peterwaller wrote:I would prefer our normal individual competition with maybe a team event run afterwards if people really want one.

I can't make the 26th unfortunately as I'm at another event. Will be at the AWS though
Re: Nuneaton Open anyone?
I will book the 26th (sorry Will) as the only other dates I myself can do would be 31st Oct & 7th Nov and they are too far away.
As regarding the format I think I would prefer the normal open layout rather than the champs team format, maybe we can work something out like a non-team champs thing?
Also got a new game which we played at York, 'Marbles'! easy and hilarious.

I have booked the 26th but havn`t heard back from 'the man' yet, however I doubt anyone else has booked the room so consider it final.
I think the best plan is to see how many turn up on the day as to forming teams, but we will definitely run a tournament for each weight class (Ants, Fleas, Nanos (Gnats?)) and a bit of football and a marbles game or two.
I will start a new official event thread asap.
