*Moving arena-related discussions back over to this thread*

I'll try and get in touch with Andy regarding using our arena for this, but I know he has very little time before this event (he's working abroad and on holiday for all but a week of it), so it's going to be tough finding time to get it filled/repainted/sanded (which it probably needs after this weekend) and to organise the van hire. The van hire is also pretty expensive. It's probably worth seeing what other options are available to you, but I'll see what I can do.

Cheers for looking into it Scott. I'll need to have a look after exams to see if there's anything around to build something suitable out of.. In the mean time, anyone else got any ideas?

Pete's arena? Providing he doesn't mind bringing it along.

Peter can usually bring his, providing everyone is ok using it after last time (its a bit pokey). Unless anyone can collect the other from Scott to help repairs/transport/stuff?

I've spoken to Andy, he's said he'll be able to find enough time to get the arena resurfaced, but it's really just the cost of transporting it that's the problem. As Rory's already asking for donations to cover venue costs for this event I don't feel we can realistically ask for any more from people. The only suggestion I have is that we find another way to transport it; see if anyone else has a car big enough, or cheaper access to a van/trailer/roof rack than we have?

I would prefer a bigger arena but I can bring mine if required.
If it is too pokey maybe we could use Remote-Controlled Daves one.

Ha, not a criticism Peter. I'm happy to fight in any arena. But I know the common opinion is we prefer the bigger one. You know how much I appreciate your willingness to cart your arena to any event.

It would be great if you could bring your arena Pete; It sounds unlikely that Scott and Andy'll be able to bring theirs.

Happy 3000th post btw Pete :L

Thats all right Dave no offence taken just my strange sense of humour.
I usually bring my arena anyway just in case so no problem for this one but if you can get a bigger one I can just leave mine in the car.
I hadn't noticed I had posted so much I hope some of it was at least constructive if not always interesting.

I'm slightly worried that Peter started many years before me and my post count is a lot higher. Must shut up more!
