Huge thanks to Dan and everyone involved for a brilliant day today.

My robots did way better than I expected with Reducto still maintaining it's unbeaten streak in the nanos and Mini Red winning the fleas and white 2 somehow winning the ants too.

I was really pleased with Inertia 2 though- it dished out loads of damage and still works fine :)

Thanks again and looking forward to the videos.

Yeah, I hope whoever was complaining about the lack of spinners at the last AWS is happy now; almost every other fight seemed to contain at least one spinner! And TBH, I enjoyed the event all the more because of it :) made for a lot of spectacular fights, as well as plenty of frantic activity in the pits trying to put robots back together; I don't think any robot left that event without at least a few holes!

Have to say, I was very pleased with how Why Wait? performed. Had plenty of really destructive hits, and apart from the wheels looking a bit like they've been stuck in a blender (and cutting through it's own battery lead ), the rest of it is almost entirely undamaged. Apologies to Dan though, at one point the Reading Uni team were feeling rather bad as our spinners were drawn against your bots again and again and wrecking the lot; Antlog seemed to have it in for you yesterday :P The rest of my team did ok, but Why Wait? was definitely the most fun.
Ouchie has now decided to retire from competition following the traumatic severing of his battery link/tail by one of those nasty spinners
Noo! don't retire Ouchie! It was Why Wait? who broke it so I'll be forever be that terrible person who killed ouchie; I'm not sure I could live with myself!

Thank you very much Dan and everyone else who helped organise the event; One of the most enjoyable I've been to :)

How can you sleep at night knowing that this is Why Wait?'s legacy? :P

My team didn't come off lightly, Carbon suffered the least damage after having the top of one of its horns broken off by flailwhale. The others took a bit more damage:

Hexa-Chopper Self Destructed and then got Anti-Cycloned:

HSOD and Why Wait? Had a pretty fun bout in the arena:

Ceiling Bot had most the front armour removed and the lid is now MIA after being shattered:

Even Stanley took damage as he couldn't defend against both Inertia 2 and Why wait? at once!

Definitely an unusually high spinner to non-spinner ratio at this event but it certainly made for a spectaculay day! Thanks to Dan and all those who helped organise the event it was really enjoyable!

Now I have some robots to go rebuild! :P

A fantastic day out! thanks to Dan and everyone who made it possible.
The food and drinks were very good, loved the Earl Grey tea :)

On the robot side there were some very destructive fights, Ant Clank is no more - Ant Clank 4 is already being built.
I have some videos to post later including one of the four spinner ones, and of course 'Death of Ant Clank'....

Watching the fight back, it was actually Anticyclone that killed Ouchie not Why Wait? Conscience cleared :P (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YumfGfj ... w&index=17)

Great to see the videos coming on now!

I think this one is one of my most awesome victories:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHbmtroNdok

Didn't even sustain any damage! And in this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hyY4MrlRiA it only scratched the front covering of the machine and simply unplugged the drive servo from its holder. Darn; so close to victory! Excellent driving by Dark Matter to hit the vulnerable wheels though!

And at the end of this one, you will hear a phrase which is not often heard a lot:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Chp8_LCyvgQ

I was surprised at my performance and my bad driving which I believe lost me every single one of those fights. Or maybe the other robot was better and not made of paper, sellotape and laminator pouches! I think my robots actually stood up well to all of the spinners; I really wish I could have had more of a go at the spinners in the annihilator though...
