Quick Event Update

Hi Guys,

Plans for the event are going well as we look to make this event even bigger than last year while running much more smoothly. We now have a couple of sponsors on board paying for the venue and (hopefully) 2 new arenas.

We should also be in the position to offer cash prizes for the first time to our winners and I will also be donating some parts from Shockbots as well so there should be plenty of fight for this time round!

There will be another update soon (possibly over the weekend) with more details.

Sounds good... If you do get a new arena, any chance you could ditch the silver paint this time? It's still on all of my tyres!

Sounds good Will. My new robots are being printed as we speak as well as a couple of new toys!

Oliver, I said I would make one... struggling with finding a small BB gun. So much software in moving the legs....

Right guys, time for an update on the prizes!

Thanks to the IET Berkshire we now have a £500 prize fund which will be split as follows.

1st place- £250
2nd place- £150
3rd place £100

I am also planning on putting up a Shockbots antweight kit for the best junior roboteer on the day as well as some other prizes from MBoss.

Hopefully this gives you all something to compete for :)

I'm really looking forward to this now. Hopefully the prizes wont come in the way of fair play and sportsmanship!
