Come by train? :P

There's a park & ride: http://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/index.c ... t=c1000782

On-street parking is all permit controlled in the city; there are lots of car parks but generally expensive. You would have to park a long way out and take the bus (same as the park & ride), for example around Brighton Uni.

Bus info: http://www.buses.co.uk
Info on car parks: http://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/index.c ... t=c1247034
Info on on-street parking charges (if you can find a space!): http://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/index.c ... t=c1245435

Alternatively, park at PeteC's and catch the train from Burgess Hill! Not quite as bonkers as it sounds, not sure how the train fair compares to Brighton parking charges (probably favourably!).

Feel free to bring a robot and transmitter, we might be glad of reinforcements!

Thanks Gary, found the park and ride last night, now the Burgess Hill train looks promising.

More research needed.

Park & Ride buses are every 15 mins, trains are probably every 20 mins or so.
Don't bother trying to park around Hove, Preston Park or London Road stations.
You should be able to park for free fairly close to Portslade Station, don't really know about Hassocks, Burgess Hill etc.

Also, just to add to the fun, the Brighton Speed Trials are taking place in Madeira Drive so the city will be even busier than usual! (And consequently there is no parking on Madeira Drive!)

I'll be there in Saturday. Do you still need any help running the stand? I may be able to help out, but not a definite answer yet. Also do you want any antweights to display? I can't get them running, they're plaing up a bit.

I think we're OK for help Laurie, but if you want to drop a robot or two off with us we can take good care of them and show them to the public. :)

I'll be there tomorrow in the afternoon hopefully with a demo bot to help out. :)

Managed to throw my train ticket in the bin and keep the receipt instead... however problem now resolved and I'll be there nice and early.
May also have a spot in the Brighton Argus for our stand, as the result of a spare 5 minutes for my PR guy yesterday...

Was a good event, there were definitley lots of interested people and we managed to keep several robots in the arena all day thanks to everyone who came to help/ dropped off robots for display. :)

Pete W, i've got combatant's blade covers(found them in the display case when tidying up. I'll bring them to Coventry unless you want them before then let us know and I'll stick them in the post.

There was also a pack of duracell AA batteries left on the table which I think are either Dave's or Ceri's...

Was nice to see everyone again, I didn't realise how many Antweight builders would be there. Not much room to move around.

Lots of stuff to think about, need to read up on the reprap now. Think I can justify £400 to build one, who needs Shapeways....

Josh, That happens to a lot of people. I, right have a National rail reservation coupon & left the train ticket in Mr Weston's car. Still got through the barrier.

James, the batteries are Dave's.
