Now the event report.

With several of the hardcore Dutch roboteers from the first hour missing, it was one of the smallest events we had. Luckely, we had a new arrival, X-bot R, the Phenix that has risen from the ashes of G-lap. At last, a Dutch spinner again. And of course, we can't ignore our German friends. ( one of those, our Nemesis.)

Babeth, Leo and me arriving around 10 30 am at Cees's place, we helped putting up the Featherweight arena outside. The weather wasn't unpleasant at that moment, sun and clouds changing skyscene.

With Babeths birthday, we had cake for lunch. And at 1 pm, the first fight commenced.

Team RCC, Our veteran FP Flipper - Hannobalito III, and the newer electric axe -Kashei had to aim for the DRG trophy we had good hopes.

Several good and fun fights later, the new arrival X-Bot-R had shown some hickups that relate to the newness of the machine.
Unfortunatly, Kashei, not as new, shows that when it works, it sets a very good show, unfortunatly, this time it wasn't the axe that burned out another Speed 900, but the drive that showed a gremlin. We suspect it to be an electromechanical issue, but we couldn't find it at the event.

But the weather changed, and from a slow drizzle, it became a drencher, and with several variation in between. With the help of Frans- a fan and the guy who opened his woodworking workshop as pits fur us-, we covered the Arena with a huge tarpaulin, even creating a kind of lean-to for the roboteers to keep dry.

Around 5 30 pm, we started the last fight, and even with the gremlin in the drive, Kashei pulled a victory in.

The result. After this competion day. Our Nemesis, the German Hardox armored FP flipper Adrenalin still stands at 1, Hannibalito III is following on its heels at second place, and Kashei, even with the gremlin , gets to third place.

Tearing down the arena went fast, professionaly. Luckely, under gentle sun and a breeze, the tarpoulins dried fast, avoinding assorted problems.

Next event, The German Mad Metal Machines , 8 and 9 october.
