RFRC 4: Sunday 25th September 2011

Post by Team Orr »

EDIT: Title changed to show CONFIRMED date. Sign up's will be posted below shortly and will remain open until the day before the event. Anybody who wants the venue the address is below also.

Surprise!
so yeah, i will edit this section when we get everything set up and confirmed (Hall booked, Date arranged etc) with details and sign up sheets etc etc, so name a date that suits all you guys and we will try and make it happen! got a new arena to demo this year along with some new robots and new format.

as always the venue is:

First Richmond Scout HQ
Pesthouse Common
Off Queens Rd
Richmond Surrey
Postcode district: TW10 6HF
Grid ref: TQ190747
Lat: 51:27:32N (51.45896)
Lon: 0:17:17W (-0.28819)

The event will Start at about 10:30 and end around 5, so if you guys could turn up at about 10-ish that would be great!

The hall is the green building on the left hand side of the unmade dirt track road, there is no post code for the hut itself however the house next to the venue has kindly allowed us to use their postcode, so if you have a satnav system put this in: TW10 6HF once you arrive there it should be pretty obvious how to enter the venue.

Also i suggest you bring extension cables, as there is limited plugs in the venue.

Competitor sign up is at:
http://robotwars101.org/ants/antweightw ... php?id=124

A list of those who have signed up is at:
http://robotwars101.org/ants/antweightw ... php?id=124

Also quick poll, what would you guys like to see at the event? more sport events or more battles? more skill challenges or ore more obstacles? etc, oh and would a house robot be a good idea?
so yeah name a date and lets hope it goes well!

Jack

A September date would probably be best for me, and I'd definitely be up for coming :)

I'm assuming you were asking how heavy Featherweights were (?). The limit is 12kg (ish) although many are much lighter.

^ 13.6kg
i will probably have pure evil on standby for demo's etc, so if you have a feather bring it along, but as always my main focus will be the anteights because its been a while since i have really connected with them and TBH im a much bigger fan of ants right now than the bigger weight classes.
House robot will be there also
i was thinking October-ish? around my birthday so parents may be more lenient with refreshment costs etc, any other ideas?
also what features do you want the houserobot to have? and any improvements for the event?
