Thanks for organising. Don't know if I missed it the main post, how many rollers are we allowed to enter in the main competition (assuming different weapons)?

No it was me that missed it, 4 maximum per team and Nuts can be a different one if you want.

Didn't think we'd be able to make this one - but just realised that if we get up ridiculously early and catch the first train of the day, we should be able to get to Hinckley station by 09:30. So assuming there's no disruption and we can find a taxi, might just be able to get there in time for tech checks.

Looks like I'd better crack on and finish my axe-bot!

I may have missed it but where do clusters fit in the weapons-class ruling? Do they count as a separate weapon, provided all parts of the cluster have active weapons? For example if we bring 'The Spin Twins', which is a cluster comprising one vert and one horizontal spinner, would that preclude having a separate stand-alone horizontal spinner on the same team?

Also... what is the 'Nuts' category? Is that for really off-the-wall designs, or is it reserved for bots purchased from Mr Shakespeare's emporium?

Doh! Just watched the Antfreeze 6 vid on YouTube. So THAT's what the Nuts tournament is all about. Looks great fun!

At least one part of a cluster must be armed and will count as that weapon. If both/all of a cluster are armed it will get in anyway with the two weapon rule.

Well, since we're going to be out of the country for AWS63, we're definitely coming to AntFreeze. Just signed up both our teams.

Anthony's Ant Army:
- Recycler (drum spinner - and it's definitely going to be working this time!)
- Undertaker (horizontal spinner)
- Underminer (flipper)
- The Spin Twins (cluster - vertical and horizontal spinners)

Team Antiquarian:
- Gargantua (horizontal spinner)
- 2-Bar (utterly useless flipper)
- "I'm gonna get medieval on your Ants" (almost-finished axe-bot)

Quick question - if I'm bringing a weaponless pushbot to use in the Nuts tournament, should I register it for the event in AntLog or do you keep that separate?

BIG UPDATE!
As long as your robot is armed you can enter, no restriction on weapon types. So you can enter any number of flippers etc. I’ve updated the first page of the thread to show this.

Nuts robots do not need to sign up beforehand, that’s done on the day. About 5 minutes before going in the arena
