As this is my first AWS that I'm running - I'm going to say "I need to talk to somebody more experienced before I can say yes/no to that".

Let me consult with Dave W first to see if we've got enough time in the schedule for it.

Provisionally: Yes - if we have time for it.

After a quick chat with Dave W, he believes we will have time for flea and nanoweights - therefore: If you have them, please bring them. We will record who has these as part of the booking in process on the morning.

Me, and my friend are building flyweights and maybe my dad too, is there a sign up for them, and can you have robots separately in the flyweight bracket and together in the ant bracket as a cluster (providing they reach the weight and size rules)

Usually sign ups for Fleaweights are done on the day. You can enter two Fleaweights as a cluster in the Antweight competition and each individually in the Fleaweight competition as well. Just remember that after a spinner fight in the Antweights, they may not be fit to go into the fleaweights. :D

As AntRoboteer says, that's not a problem at all. Fleaweights and Nanoweights will be at the end of the day providing time permits (and we expect it to).

NOTE: Venue has moved to Building 177 as planned.

We are still working on final details which will hopefully be available on this coming Saturday all being well - however, please be aware that if you are attending and under the age of 18, we will need a parent or guardian to be with you all day (this can, in reality, be anybody over 18 as long as they're prepared to look after you). Not our choice but Universities like to lead us a merry dance with paperwork.

For reference on how insane it's got: I've just had to answer the question: "Will there be any weapons (even if ceremonial) at your event?" I know what they're *really* asking - but it's a wonderful game of if we don't declare, we get in a whole heap of bother.....

Please be aware that we will be closing sign-ups on Monday 30th October at 10PM. This is to ensure that we have time to complete all the necessary paperwork for the venue, which we cannot do until we know a number of teams.

Not a problem at all - as I say, would far rather have people dropping out than turning up unannounced!

1) Final call for teams - if you aren't registered, please do so ASAP as registration closes tomorrow at 10PM. I *absolutely* cannot accept extra teams after that point, unless we have a drop-out.

2) Final details updated in the 2nd post. Please check this and read carefully.
