Re: Technical feather stuff
okay, right im going to ignore what i said about not wanting to put you off the robot design, please don't build a pnematic robot for a first feather (besides the fact there are too many flippers) you could potentioly kill, (probably wont though) but could really, reall hurt you. make a moving platform first with say, a basic electric lifter, fight it a few times then think about adding a powerful weapon.
think, you have built only two antweights (well one battle ant ) and while they might be pretty good a feather is a compleaty different kettle of robots
good luck to you anyway sorry if i have come across harsh

It's alright Haz, I'm not building this on my own! That's way beyond me right now... I'm getting someone to help me and to do the dangerous stuff.
Re: Technical feather stuff

Re: Technical feather stuff
cool, whats your budget( im reconing about £300-400) if you dont mind me asking? and what do you plan to make it out of?
still make a basic robot first, so if it gets wrecked in ist first fight, it doesnt matter.

Re: Technical feather stuff
Thanks for the support guys, I well aware of the potential danger, I'm not the type to do something without thinking about it first!
My budget it about £300, and so far it's added up to £197 for motors, wheels, gas etc.
I will do anything that is deemed safe for me to do by the person who's helping me. He's an expert!
