Inertia XL

Post by teamocean »

Those of you who were at the last AWS will remember my ant Inertia 2 so I thought I'd show off it's bigger brother Inertia XL

It was built to enter in the UK Featherweight Championships last weekend and came 3rd overall (the highest ranking spinner of the event)

The hardox 650 disc is powered by 2 speed 900 motors on a 4:1 ratio, the bulkheads are 20mm HDPE and the armour is all 3.2mm Hardox 450. Drive is 2 drills with a scorpion XL to control them.

Here it is in action against Beauty 2 and Little Spinner 4 :)

And finally a photo of it with the antweight version

Thanks guys, the disc isn't the fastest around but once it gets up to speed doesn't seem to slow down much between hits. I'm hoping someone filmed the demo it did on friday when it smashed up a PC, some speakers and a laptop

Dave, before the event I had no idea how it would react when flipped- the self righting was a very lucky accident :)

I would have gone with, "It was intentionally designed that way."

If you find that video could you post a link?
