Decided to remake XS1 with a 3D printed chassis which I got done in the uni workshop- seems strong enough and if everything fits I'll get a second one made for XS2

Do you get to see the 3d printer working?
How long does something like that take to make??

Cheers Jim,

It was really interesting to see the printer in action- its a HP Designjet one (can't remember the model).

The printing itself took just under 4 hours and the bath to remove the support material was about the same.

Now I've been shown how to set it up I may be using the printer a little more often :)

Both are made out of spare parts for the hell of it, but the last time I did that I ended up coming 3rd, so who knows!

i hope you're running a cluster with them, or maybe next time round try a 3 way cluster with another bot called captin :)

The clusterbot name is An i for an Eye, but I don't have room for it as part of my team. I've sent a PM to Jonny asking if he'd like it on his, cos I'd love to see them taking on/getting broken by ants.
