Re: fleas
Looks absolutely great Peter not looking forward to having to fight it, hehe...
How are the idler wheels for the tracks held on, it looks like a shaft stub into a bit of circuit board held in the chassis?

Re: fleas
The stub axels are 3mm carbonfibre glued into moulded tubular axel holders.
The fibre glass support was just to introduce a bit more stiffening where it meets the wall.

Re: fleas
I recently bought some small brushless motors for a possible upgrade to Fleabite.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... duct=29566
I hadn't reallise how small they were until they arrived the mounting screws required are M1 (1mm diam)
Just received some see below.

Haha, I had a package arrive with one of those last week. Tiny motors but they are impressive!

Re: fleas
I am beginning to have doubts about this motor being strong enough to use in a spinner.
I think I over came the mounting problems by recessing the thin mounting legs into the fibre glass base to give extra support but the shaft at only 1.5mm seems very thin and as soon as I tighten the grubscrews that hold the blade on the motor case distorts causing the magnets to scrape.

Re: fleas
Finally gave up with the small motor at least for the present.
New version of Flebite with more of the weight over the wheels but it is still prone to skating about when the spinner is running.

Re: fleas
Very nice Pete I'm interested to see how it drives with those prongs on the front. It looks a bit steep an angle to me.

Re: fleas
I know what you mean they are a little steep but the photo makes them look worse than they are.
Here is a better shot and I can still bend them a bit more if it is a problem on rough arena's.
