I have just built a new flea called Deflea as in to rid the arena of fleas.
It is basically a scaled down version of Defiant .
Weight......75.2gms
Power.......2x 12v precision micro drive motorgearboxes need to upgrade to something faster.
Controller..OptionB63 board with AR6300 receiver
Battery......145mah lipo
Weapon.....0.25mm steel scoop front and back.
Notes........Very slow at the moment.
Normal way up:

Upside down:

The internals:

The servo I have for LD has packed in YET AGAIN, so I was hoping to use a Spektrum servo like Pete uses in Variant's lifter, but I was wondering what it runs on ?

Also, I was going to use an Option A board for LD because it may save me the weight to have the servo installed

Andrew it might well be if only for sentimental reasons as it is only a new servo horn on one side and glue the balsa chassis back together. At the moment I have 10 Ants and that would make two fleas plus three minisumo's and a micromouse wallfollower so I don't really need any more.
Dave the spec for the spektrum SPMS75 servo says 3.2 - 6.0 V.
Variant uses two, one for each lifting tine.

Using the standard servo connector you get 5V but by swapping the red to the 4th position you get full battery voltage. Unfortunatly I could not find a small enough LDO regulator that could supply 1.5A at 6V.

Ok, I'll just use it off the receiver then.

This is what I like to see, a resurgance of fleaweights, because there are others that are building too. I've got Divinity in the build as we speak.

Divinity:
Weight: 62g (all components bar the actual chassis)
Drive: 2x 50:1 gear motors on bling wheels
Battery: 7.4v 135mA lipo
Controls: WallerBoard B63 and AR6300
Weapon: Titanium spinning disc

I have a fleaweight too, it's not very good but it is very quick.

Name: Frostbite 2
Weight: 68g
Drive: 2x Speedhacked spektrum servos
Weapon: Lifter powered by a micro servo
Armour: 1mm HDPE
Battery: 6v 120mAh Ni-Mh
Rx: AR6000

Thats cool :)

If we have who we want at AWS 30, we'll have quite a few Fleas:
Little Devil, Divinity, DeFlea, Frostbite 2, Buddy, Little Yellow Taxi (Joey's), and maybe Psycho-Flea

I'm liking the resurgence in the flea class, for some reason the challenge of building something smaller appeals to me :)

Little Yellow Taxi
Weight: at or around the 75g mark
Drive: 2 (RW101 special!) 360 degree hacked Naros run off a 2 cell 180mah lipo
Armour: 0.75mm polycarbonate, 0.5mm carbon fibre
Weapons: Front E-Flite 180 brushless outrunner driven titanium bar/disc/spinning object, rear wedge, paving paradise
Notes: Is likely to look a lot better than it actually performs
