new hobbyking dsm2 rx's
More small rx's from hobbyking.
similar to the other cheap hobbyking rx's.
One interesting spec I saw is...
"Voltage: 3.6~9v"
Could this run on 2s without a regulator then??
If so,it could be a neat 7.2v servo drive solution??
( I think that is how I broke my othedr hobbyking rx's,forcing 2s through them. )
Similar size, but 1g lighter than the other version,a bit more with the connectors/heatshrink removed.

Oh bum.
Might give one a go,as I still have some credit with HK.
Would be good if it did work!

I've always ran OrangeRXs on 7.4v and never had one go bang. In my experience they handle it pretty well. The board appears identical to the other 4ch receiver, so the only difference is the plugs. I've just ordered some new ones with standard plugs, as I don't think it's worth the effort of changing all my plugs to JST just to save 0.4g

I assumed it was the voltage. I could possibly have shorted them,I guess??(Strokes beard whimsically.)
I gave up after the third one,but I may have to have another go.

Not quite relavent but HobbyKing now have a UK based Warehouse.
Not all stuff is stocked there but if the item you are looking for has a union jack next to it you should be in luck.
They are slightly dearer the receiver discussed above is £6.67 rather than £6.19 from China but you save on the postage.
I have just ordered some bits I will let you know how long they take.

I noticed that recently, but it would only let me use a courier, not standard post, so in the end postage from China worked out cheaper than postage from the UK. And it usually only takes 10 days to arrive.

Re: new hobbyking dsm2 rx's
Having checked my last few orders you could be right depending on what you order.
The UK order was $5.59 (£3.50) for 48 hour delivery and my last 3 China orders were $3.99, $17.95 and $5.99.
I ordered it at 20:00 last night and have already had an email saying it is packed and awaiting dispatch.
When you take into account there is no chance in it getting held up in customs or charged 20% import vat I think it is worth it.

I must be very lucky, I've made 9 orders from them and never once had to pay import duty. I guess my luck will run out one day.
