Hi Hib,

I had intereference problems.

I've just been comparing those "fast" gear motors with the Sanyo ones, and I thought I'd mention that the sanyos are 8.2g, and the fast ones are 9.3g, so six might be a problem in an antweight. There would also be problems turning. Dynamite doesn't turn as quickly as you might think from its forward speed: the motors fight each other during a turn, if that makes any sense.

The wheels have to slide sideways to turn.

From my experiance the sanyos are closer to 9.5g than 8.2g, which is really annoying.

Very odd about the barrelo board, which type was it the 100 or 150?

I just weighed a brand new Sanyo NA1S 75.7:1 and it really is 8.2g, honest.

I don't remember which Barello it was. I know it wasted me months before I gave up and got a sozbots board, whereupon all my interference problems vanished.

What voltage do you give to your receiver?
The BEC on the Scorpion Mini's is 5v, 100ma; so not enough if your running any other servos off the RX. I used to use the onboard BEC to power the RX in Void, which had the flipper servo on it, which is why at AWS19 I was having terrible problems, cutting out all the time, goin crazy etc. Since then (before the RRC) I installed a seperate voltage reg for the flipper, so I can give it 6v, and the BEC current is just for the RX.

Personally, I like the boards, and I find it much easier fitting 2 smaller boards into a design than one big one.

Oh yeah, and they have cool LED's ;)

Hi there,

I can't get the rw101 shop to work. I keep clicking but nothing happens. I was going to recommend it to someone, but I can't.

Also, and I think I might have mentioned this before, on the shop page there is no way of telling which text is a hyperlink. Rather confusing really, or is it just me?

For those looking for a HiTec Ranger III, this is the same thing, just repackaged:

I have one, they work fine. Bit cheap feeling, but it works. Only needs 6 batteries for the tx as well...
