the heavyweight division is slowly dying, TV isnt interested in heavyweights anymore, or in one off big show championships they want something sustainable and new.

In my talks with TV companies for Rebel Robots I pitched a big show like Robot Wars and Battlebots and they said no instantly, however when i pitched a longer running show with featherweights, showing the sport in a totally different light with new fighting rules and new arena and new robots they jumped at me.

TV is coming back, this year? maybe more likely 2010 I'll be unveiling plans for Rebel Robots in the next month
I've always tried to tell people that Rebel Robots isnt Robot Wars but until you speak to Channel 5, Discovery Channel, Bravo and Sky you have no idea just how different we have to be just to get a look in.
