Another New Nanoweight...

Post by Rapidrory »

Decided I should probably have a separate build diary for these, seeing as I can hardly justify them as antweights, and I'm likely to have a fair few appearing shortly seeing as I just bought 10 of the worm gear motors suggested by Pete

Uploaded a demo vid of MiniDozer pushing various other robots around; Hopefully it'll stand it's ground against the high quality of other Nanos appearing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZLaf-W ... e=youtu.be

Rory one word of warning when you come to disassemble the gearbox there are three screws.
The two silver ones are standard but the black one which is one of the smallest screws I have ever seen at about .75mm is left hand thread because it is in the end of the output gear.

That is very nice might just invest in one of those although it would be nice to see how it mounts.
Just thought of a problem will my existing brushless controllers work on one cell and in fact will my motor run on it.
At least that one would and they do a tiny 3 amp controller for single cell operation.

Yeah, Would need to get one of these as well: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/sto ... ouse_.html

Hadn't really noticed the lack of mountings... worst comes to the worst I'd just use hot melt glue :L

I'm not sure what blade i'd put on it if I did get it, seeing as I'm not one for 3D printing.. might just have to supercharge the blades from "Gigantic Death Spinner's" :L

Thats a brushed motor controller I was thinking of this:

Anyway I have ordered one of these and the motor you found so I will let you know what they are like.

Ah.. so it is

Well seeing as I was placing a HK order anyway I decided to get one of those motors and see how it does. I have a spare brushless ESC which I can run it on atm, though could do with getting one like yours.

Just need to try and make a suitable weapon for it now! :L

When you look at the motor it is sold as a brushless tail motor for micro heli so there must be some kind of mounting just not shown.
As I feared I have just looked up the data sheet on the Plush6 controller I have and it is min 2 cell.
