Re: Team Shock's Beetleweights
Nice one Will. Where did you get your waterjetting done and were they a good price?
Re: Team Shock's Beetleweights
I used EMSEA, price was a bit steep though and delivery was 2 weeks late but I believe that was due to the courier

Hey Will, looking great!
Just out of interest, what motors are you using? I have a design in mind but as I've never attempted a beetleweight I'm slightly hesitant to invest in something that's not up to the job

Thanks Jack.
I'm using the 25mm OD pololu gear motors for this one as I had a couple left over from my uni project. Need some combat testing but should do the job. Running them on 3s lipo with botbitz ESCs.

Looks sweet mate. If you ever need a home for the 10mm discs

Re: Team Shock's Beetleweights
don't worry Haz I have plans for those already
Re: Team Shock's Beetleweights
Just had the first weigh in for the beetle to check that it would still be in weight after getting my hands on the disc.
Came in at 984g minus the armour, rx and belt with the 6mm disc so will be around 1.2kg with the 10mm disc in place. I plan to run with the 6mm one to start off with as this will make the spin up easier.
I plan to start putting it together this weekend and will hopefully pick up a couple of belts while I'm home so that I can test it

Re: Team Shock's Beetleweights
Finished the beetle today. Now has 1.5mm steel for armour but since it only weighs 1.1kg I can always add more if I need to.
