The 11+ only exists in areas where there are still selective Grammar Schools. Many areas went over to a completely comprehensive system many many years ago. For example Sussex has no grammar schools, but neighbouring Kent still does.

BTW my nephew has just passed his Oxford Uni entrance exam! 8)

Congratz Jack, now you jsut have to choose which school! :-?

I remember doing my 11+ a few years ago , damn its hard, oh well i passed JUST and i really mean JUST, i dont know about you but I got no warning at all that there would be an exam, i just went into a room and there was an exam paper!

hi all
today i ordered several things...
.1 micro servo
.all the aws dvds
.a few odds and ends ( nuts, bolts, wires, etc...)
so valiant is looking to be compleated by mid march
also i scrapped the aircraft wheels they where just too heavy , i did some calculations and the weight came in at 275g give or take a gram or 2

today i made a quick prototype of ValiANT
it had all the parts mounted on some art card with a lolly-pop stick lifter
it went well, it managed to flip kill-a-bye over a 3cm wall of books
going to make the proper one at the weekend

4th day at my new school, a few months ago i sat the 11+ i can remember one of the questions, car is to ship as boat is to what (the hell! :evil: ) .oh well i passed and am really liking my new school :D :D :D
