Hi there,
I was talking to Craig about this today, and I thought I'd put a post about it. The Tesla Roadster http://wiredblogs.typepad.com/photos/un ... peg_66.jpg has an amazing 6,800 Lithium Ion batteries in it. Wow.

It looks like a nice car and an interesting bit of technology...
Yours for "only" $92,000 (plus another $10,000 if you add all the options!). Oh, and you need to put down $50,000 to reserve one for delivery around June 2008 (yes, that's next year!).
However, with a 250 mile range and a 3.5 hour recharge time you can't exactly just head out on the freeway (or even drive from Sussex to Cumbria in one day).
Nice to see they boast that it has rack & pinion steering - at least that bit's not electric.
