Transformers the movie 2007!

Post by Flippt »

Ever since I can remember I loved Transformers. I had tones of transformers toys both from Generation 1 and later. But when I grew up I put the toys on the shelf and started with Robot Wars :)

But now in later days, I got the news that Steven Spielberg is gonna be the leader of this project. I was a bit skeptic at first when I saw some badly made animations on the internet: Like this preview clip

But
This(Which suppose to be Bumblebee) (Me want one!) gives me the hope that I need to watch this movie, and come out with a smile on my face from the cinema :D

I cant wait to see it! Comments please!

also i heard a few rumors from this film
Basically you know that car adverts were the first one had the car transforming into a robot and then doing a dance
there is a new one were the robot goes ice skating

Basically i heard those are teh test renders of the transformer film
The car (clio i think) paid to use there car so they could use it in an advert.

Again this is what I heard from a friend and I cba to see if its true or not.

As for the film. Yeah im looking forward to it.

Dave, I seem to remember that you're doing film studies... Have you ever seen the director's commentary of the Fast and the Furious? He really goes into detail about film making.

I guess you have seen the teaser trailer by now:

http://www.movie-list.com/trailers.php?id=transformers

It just has the build up and you don't see any of the vehicles at all.

I love that Bumblebee picture, I want one too. Although it's not a VW Beetle:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bumblebee_transformers

Talking about that, have a look at this Star Scream toy. http://www.hlj.com/product/TKT71889 Still can't justify ?45.

Simon, have you seen the 12" Cyberman toy yet?

To stay on topic I actually saw a ILM Transformers test over a year ago and it was primitive but showed the basic car-robot transformation and it was good. Not as good as the current Citroen adverts but considering it had never been done before it was pretty good.

Has anyone seen the Spider Man 3 teaser yet? Shows Green Goblin, Sandman and the Venom alien taking over Spiderman.

No Oliver, but I was thinking of getting Nathan the Cyberman voice changer.

1. the citroen ads rock!! :D
2. lets put a transfromer against a robot and see who wins (robot obviously)
3. even though i hardly ever watch it i still know the theme tune
(walks of singing 'transformers, robots in disguise'...)
