Too much time on my hands!!

Or "Useless TX mods"

I was watching Back To the Future the other day,and I noticed the old school Transmitter that the prof had to control the car, when he sent the dog on the test run.It had an lcd display attached to the top LHS.
I had a look on ebay for an lcd voltage meter to wire into my DX6i,but couldnt really find anything that would fit,but then I found some 5V temperature meters with molex connectors for PC's.They come in loads of different colours,so I got orange,to match the Spectrum graphics.
It was very easy to solder it onto the main power switch...

My TX can now tell me how hot it gets! :o

Very fancy :)
I can see a new round of transmitter pimping contests beginning.

Out of interest, what are the other mods you've made? Namely the red button jutting out the side of your transmitter? It looks like a detonation trigger for a nuclear warhead-carrying ant :o
DON'T PUSH THE BIG RED BUTTON!!

Pimp my Tx. I like it!:D
The red button is soldered into the throttle cut button, and activates the flipper on the robots.Works very well!
