is it me , or is the forum slowing up ?

Wanna talk about something other than robots? Really?? Can't understand it myself, but if you really want to, do it here....normal rules apply though!!

ive been here a while and i have definitely noticed a slow down in general of the whole forum. is everybody moving to the fra forum perhaps , i hope not because rw101 has an unmatchable "friendly" enviorement. I hope robot combat is not being phased out .

Just a thought , sorry if this is a bit useless but i cant be the only one thats noticed it.

I only joined towards the end of last year, but I to have noticed that less posts have been posted than when I first joined. There's often quite a lot of posts when there's a big event on, like an AWS or RRC. But trust me, robot combat is not dying, Craig reckon's the heavyweight division is, but the antweight division is getting stronger all the time :)

You'll find it goes in peaks and generally goes a bit quiet a few weeks after a competition. Also people have been hanging off because of the virus problem.

Come on folks, more discussions on the pros and cons of using nuclear fusion in antweights...

Fusion with Uranium??? That's making life REALLY difficult
I think fitting a deuterium-trituim reaction into 150g will be hard enough...

Personally, I think getting a 100mm-diameter tokamak to work sustainably may be the hardest part...

yeah , your probably right.

how about a perpetual motion antweight !!!

is deuterium-trituim heavy water ? oh and initiating the reaction might be a bit risky , but yer never know waht a bit of duct tape and a ball of uranium could do .

edit : wait , heavy water , uranium , im thinking atomic bomb . now that would show the spinners , and every body else within a 300 mile radius.

I was using Uranium for years and no-one seemed to mind. Was too heavy in the end so used aluminium instead :)

What about solar powered ants? Could you add a strong light source on top of the arena?
