Rx and Tx Crystal

That depends on the transmitter and if you want to drive on one stick or not. Some transmitters like the spektrum have a mixer built in.

some hold their transmitter at a 45 degree angle, and drive single stick that way.

And some drive their robot as a tank, 1 stick for 1 wheel. you dont need a mixer then either.

Yes, I hold mine at 45 degrees, once you get used to it it's easy, and much easier to set the trim than when you're in mixer mode.

Wow sounds very hard to do. Luckly I have a speed controller with built in mixers.

Sometime when I get servos for my new robot I'll try to hold it on a 45 degree angle. :)
