They are not "motor plugs".

These 3 pin plugs feed the signal from the receiver to the ESC (DasMikro) and also feed the regulated power from the ESC to operate the receiver.

However, all of the negative pins (outside row, brown wire) on the receiver are connected together, and all of the positive pins (middle row, red wire) are connected together.

The signal pins (inside row) provide a signal for each channel.

So to have more than one wire going from the ESC to the negative and positive pins on the receiver is redundant.

To clarify, on one of the two "3 pin plugs" which connect from motors to ESC to receiver, do I need to cut the negative wire?
Please can you explain this in layman's terms?
Which wires need cutting from the two which connect the receive to esc and motors?

None, it works absolutely fine without cutting any, just if you want to save weight you can remove the red and black wire from ONE of the plugs.
