Parallel Lipo set up
I'm looking at using two smaller lipos and running them in parallel in a featherweight. I've had a look around and it seems that this is okay to do in most applications, I thought I better check that it is the same in a high discharge situation? The batteries also have to be the same voltage else they discharge into each other to equalize at a very high rate when first connected. Would it be better to balance charge my 2 x 3 cell 11.2v packs as if they were a 6 cell 22.4v pack?

Re: Parallel Lipo set up
I have never done this but I know they do sell packs that are 3S2P so it should be OK.
I would balance charge both 3 cell packs individually to full charge on the same charger and then check the voltages are the same before coupling them together.
You may well need to always charge them seperately normally if you want to balance charge them unless you connect together the intermediate terminals.
