binding issues with Spektrum

binding issues with Spektrum

ok so I've had my DX6,DX7 and DX3 systems for years I know how to bind the transmitter and reciever but when I bind the new rx I just bought to any of my systems (DX6 excluded as its DSM2) the right hand motor just spins and nothing responds, batteries are fine, connections are good can't figure out whats wrong! any help?
