Very small light 2.4ghz receivers?

Post by Shakey »

I was wondering whether anyone knew of any extremely small spektrum compatible 2.4ghz receivers, by smallI mean smaller then the cheap hobby king DSM2 one.

Cheers,
Alex

I use spektrum ar6300 receivers, unsolder the connectors remove the casing and the bind pins, about 2mm thick at the largest component, and it's 18x28mm weighs less than a gram without the plugs...

Now that sounds ideal for my purposes.

I wouldn't recomend the 6300 apart from being 4 times the cost of the hobby king receiver if you are removing the connectors its also bigger.
Also because the connectors on the 6300 are through hole mounted the chances of getting them off without losing tracks are much less likely.

People have been saying these hobbyking receiver seem to just die and stop binding after a bit of use so I've stuck with official horizon hobbies stuff.
Haven't had any issues removing plugs and blowing tracks in the board although I tend to cut the plastic around the plug and remove them pin by pin on top of a metal block to heat sink as I work.
