can someone do me a masive favour?

Post by haz »

like the fool i am i decided to make an ant that may be actaly competitive, i bourght actual parts, sabertooth, 50:1 gearmotors, spectrum radio. also i have made the decision to go lipo as i had problems with nimh. my lipos came yesterday and they look great, but the problem is the charger had the wrong plug so i asked them for an adapter. i have got the adapter now and it is still the wrong type, male jst instead of female. i realy doubt i will get another adapter before saterday  and i was wondering if anyone would:
a: let me use theirs at reading
b: lend/ sell me an female jst plug so i can wire my lipos to my sabertooth.
thanks a bunch,
harry

I can, I've got a few spare JST sockets I can bring to Reading and you're more than welcome to use my charger if needs be :)

Quite happy for you to use my charger Harry, but mine are all on Hitec plugs. If you have an old burnt out servo lying around, you could cut the connector off that and solder it on to your lipo. Or I could bring you a hitec connetor to solder on on the day. Depends if you want to do it that way, or you want to keep it as a jst.

Having said that I'm sure someone will have a female jst and will let you use their charger.

There can't be many competative hobbies like ours where people go out of their way to help out the opposition quite so much.

But then, without "the competition" it wouldn't be a competitive hobby!
