problems with sabertooth

I suspect it is a problem with the battery voltage. Although they quote them as working from 6 -18v a 5 cell nimh battery will soon drop below 6V. I see in the technobots spec they quote them as usable with 6 to 12 cell nimh not 5 cells. When you quickly change from forward to back you are putting the maximum load on the battery and it is likely that the voltage will dip even more. Also unless the 5v regulator in the BEC is an LDO one(Low Drop Out) it is likley that the 5 v to the receiver is also dipping possible causing problems with that as well. I suggest you try either a 6 cell pack or a 2 cell LiPo.
ok i will give that a go does any body know where to buy 6 cell nimhs as i don have enough individual cells to make another one
