if your anywhere around the south id make a trip to smc , if not you can but offline from em www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk .

you speed hack a sail winch servo just like any other servo , there are hundreds of tutorials for doing this , remember you will need to hack it for speed and 360 rotation
heres an OK sail winch servo , you could probably get away with something a lot cheaper but Ive used these ones before . if your local go in and ask for there second hand servo box , 3 quid for some bad ass servos and Theres often pairs of identical ones.

Servos in all its glory, but motors really are better then servo when it goes down to speed and power. Dave W uses motors for his axe antweight.

Hi,
That servo looks good, but have you seen the weight? 107g :o That's a little hevy for an ant, but thanks anyway :D

BTW: Is there a cheaper and lighter alternative? Thanks :)

Fast Dalek also uses a motor for its flipper/lifter. Metal gears versus plastic, no contest.

sorry about that i was in beetle weight mode lol:)

Ive used this servo for a flipper and it was a bit too quick , so it should be great for an axe :)

Hi,
Thanks for the help :) I'll buy one of those servos when I've got enough money(I've just spent a lot on my lifter, DiscordANT.
Best regards to everyone,

BTW: will I need to speed hack the servo to make it effective? If so, how do I speed hack it? (I've only speed hacked two naro HP/BB servos which required a special CNC mod) Do the HS56HB servos require a special part?
