"Bend and sketch..."

Post by MySolderIsOlder »

Bloody typical. Now that I've taken the plunge, invested in a 3d printer and started to get my head around designing antweights in printed ABS, rather than in cut and bent polycarbonate sheet, I find the latest update of Fusion 360 has finally added a load of 'Sheet metal' functionality. Haven't probed yet but looks like it's got everything you'd need to design your folded model, then flatten and print out to use as a cutting template.

Anyone experimented with this new feature yet?

I really could have done with that 12 months ago! :x

Yea it is pretty good. It's been there about a year or so. But they just moved it to a new place on the interface in the last week.

Cut a flat pattern with it a few days back. Just needs bending now.
