What do folks typically use to bring the voltage down from a 2s battery for these servos? I presume there’s a standard, lightweight answer that fits in a typical ant?

I guess the bec built into most escs? That's what I was thinking of trying. Run the receiver off full 2s (because lemons can) and run the servo off the Esc bec.

Although some receivers can run off the full 2S supply I prefer to run it from the 5 V regulated supply.
Because the 2S supply is running all the motors there is more chances that it is noisier and therefore more likely to interfere with the receiver.

In which case do you then run the mg90 off the 5v going through the receiver?

I build my own controllers with the receiver mounted on the controller board. The servo plug is also on the controller board so it shares the same 5 v 1.5 A regulator but is not powered through the receiver.

Ohkay, so the equivalent for me would be to wire off the esc bec in parallel, right?
