Found out at AWS58 today that it was just my receiver that was the problem , its stopped working. We tested it out with a receiver out of another bot and then the wheels started moving so it worked ! The motor connections might need a little adjusting because they went abit on and off but that can be sorted out .
Are there any good (and cheap) recievers that are pretty reliable that i should get I'm unsure of what to get.

depends you your transmitters protocol...

spektrum uses dsm2/dsmx
flysky uses afhds/afhds2a

theres more...

i can only recommend flysky stuff as i dont use spektrum...

so yeah, we can help better by knowing your transmitter brand and model number...

Ah right I've got the devo7e , although I'm thinking of getting that flysky one because it comes with a reciever and I could do with 2 controllers (I can practice fighting my two robots ) . It depends on what's easier to bind .

Also I loved your driving with your manta robot today , it worked very well :)

i love my transmitter... does everything i need it to do and costs less than £35 with a receiver... i would recommend it...

yeah, mantis did what its meant to pretty well... took me 4 versions to get it to this stage and still needs tweaks...

i wanted to build a grab and lift as its a rare bot to see/see working as intended...

it certainly seemed to entertain the crowd anyway...

i just wonder how popular the grab and lift will become...

Meanwhile I love my 7e. If you've flashed it to run deviation firmware then you'll want Dsmx or dsm2. I recommend lemonrx receivers, though I also want to try the BangGood Redcon 4ch dsm2 receivers as they're a little cheaper and smaller than the 6ch lemons
A grabber? I CHALLENGE IT WITH JIGGY!
