Spinning Disc Motors?
Anyone got any recommendations on brushless motors used for antweight spinning discs? Also, how would I wire it?
Re: Spinning Disc Motors?
The dys be1806, and the redcon 2204 are the most commonly used spinner motors, they both have holes for easy mounting of the blade.
As for wiring, brushless motors require a dedicated brushless esc, I can recommend the Afro 12A, but there are loads on the market. The 3 wires from the motor attach to the esc, the esc will be connected to the power connections from the battery and the signal connection from the receiver.
If you're going to make a spinner take care, they can be dangerous. My bar spinner launched its blade in testing, and with a tip speed of almost 300mph it could have been nasty if it wasn't enclosed. (the vibration caused the bolts to unscrew themselves)
