Question Regarding 50:1 Motors

Postby TeamSeismic » Sun Jul 16, 2017 8:20 pm

Hi All,
I've got two 50:1 motors for my antweight and some Lego wheels to accompany them, the inner diameter of these wheels is too wide to fit snugly onto the axles of each motor.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to give the wheels a tighter fit?
Thanks.

I used to use those Lego wheels for a long time; they're nice wheels. :)

I always used hot glue in order to hold the motor shaft in the hole, never had a problem with it coming off as long as it's done properly (even taking serveral direct spinner hits).

Just put the shaft in such that one point of the shaft is in contact with the wheel and the shaft is centred, then pour in some hot glue and make sure you maintain tension between the shaft and wheel until completely cool.

Best of luck; let me know if anything needs clarification.
