I assume this is the walker you have been teasing? Look forward to seeing it. Does it use spinner forces to walk?

Yeah, something like that. I'm still far from sure it's going to work, I've not done any calculations beyond rough estimates in my head, but I'll guess we'll see soon enough.

It's starting to take shape...

Rather more bodged than normal, but it's more of a prototype/proof of concept than a finished design right now.

looks good... saw a simmilar idea with the dual spinners and using the gyro to steer... glad to see more of this idea as i think its a pretty cool bot to have in your team...

so far it definitely has the same look/style of your other bots so it fits the team well... cant wait to see more progress

Cheers Kyro, It does currently look very similar to a couple of vibration driven bristlebots that I've seen, but the mechanism is very different (and I think unique). If it works as expected this one should move by waddling in a rather penguin like fashion.

Not really. Vibrant's a bristlebot, the walking mechanism on this is very different. If you're trying to picture how this works Wrecks from battlebots is probably the closest approximation.
It's going to look a bit different when it's finished, I've got two more spinners to bolt on yet!

Made some more progress on the new one...

I quickly bodged the cardboard top on so I could do a bit of testing, and I'm very relieved to report it actually works!
It's almost impossible to control right now, and my lack of a decent sized testing arena is making the task of tuning it in rather difficult, but overall I couldn't be happier, it's not every day you invent an entirely new method of robot propulsion!
