Ofsted/my friendly uncle/I don't know

Postby Occashokka » Sat Sep 12, 2015 6:33 am

This believe it or not is going to be my spinner diary where work happens!my first topic was just me asking tons of questions so this might be the start of progress...
Currently names are looking like:
Boudica?(probably been used)
Ofsted(they are evil and rip things to pieces...)
My friendly uncle(because why not??)

But seen as this is progress log I should update that exactly what's happened is we have bought the brushless stuff and thought of designs and want to go horizontal and then true to the form of progress we haven't done anymore...
As you see it is going to take a loooooooooooong time to get anywhere on this thread-right progress this year done;see you next year when I bend 1 piece of metal :L

I like 'My Friendly Uncle' personally :L

Well, you've got as far as buying bits and starting a build diary, so that's a start :L what parts did you buy in the end? When it all arrives, I'd advise wiring it all up and getting familiar to how brushless work before fitting any sharp things to it. What blade are you using btw? (sorry if any of this was answered in the last thread, I forget! )

Babymetal may or may not have the weight spare to come and cause axe mayhem at the start of next year...

Hi Joel. i am giving cut up a complete rebuild this week ( probably also under a new name ) and i am also going down the horrizontal route this time. i will post some pictures of the work in progress as it happens on my thread and maybe that might give you a little inspiration for your build.

inspired?--very

able to build a spinner without a disc and therefore no knowledge of what I have to work with-- less so :o . Earth calling to all people with round sharp things imminent.
even if the sharp thing is a banana I am still calling for it :P

are you going for a horrizontal like variant and the like or are you going for an under cutter design? i'm going to attempt an under cutter because although slightly more difficult to put together, they do seem to be both a lot more destructive and a lot better at winning battles.

It's going to be horizontal but right to the ground with only 1-2mm clearance and just hope I can cope with the gyro...

Don't get any adverse gyro on a horizontal, which is one of the reasons why undercutters like Anticyclone are so effective as they can drive as if the blade's not there.
