Re: Arena Discussions
It could be a possibility.
I finally came to a decision for the first two configurations by putting 25mm wide 35 mm high pegs in each of the 8 places that the walls meet the pit.
Then to accommodate these and because they effectively decrease the size of the pits I increased the curved edges the the full 250 mm size
I had just completed that and the rest of the poycarb arrived and it looks a lot bigger than I was expecting.
I have just managed to fit the first 2mm skin it was a bit of a struggle to say the least.
Probably will not get much done at the weekend as my son is visiting and the there is the soapbox derby on Sundy

I want to play! Still think 2 pits will be enough though.

Re: Arena Discussions
Managed to get the 2mm polycarb wall that surrounds the arena and pits fitted which will hopfully give some protection to the main cover.
Obviously this is transpaerent once the protective plastic covering is removed.

Re: Arena Discussions
The cover now has two 2mm polycarb covers and it is getting heavy and that combined with it large size and flexibility make it difficult to move about.
I really need to be able to load it into the car on my own with the arena and cover attached and that is looking pretty daunting at the moment.
I think I am going to have to build it on a two wheeled trolly that it can be moved around on and still sit flat on a table or two.

Re: Arena Discussions
Would adding ribs to the top of the cover inside it help at all with the flexibility? (you could also attach lights to them if they turn out to be needed)

Re: Arena Discussions
Might create visibility issues as we'll be looking in through the roof to fight. Peter, if you can get it in the car, plenty of us to help get it out again...
