22mm silicone wheels are now available for the nanoweight gearboxes!

Diameter: 22mm - Width: 5mm Standard - Weight: 0.85g

These silicone wheels are designed to fit onto the lightweight drive units and are ideal for use with nanoweights giving them that extra bit of grip. Simply place them onto the shaft and using either a small screw (provided with our light drive units) or a small amount of glue.

Price: £1.50 (pack of 2)

I can also do them in 8 and 12mm thicknesses for those who want a bit more wheel, I'll update with prices and weights of these if there is interest.

I've also adjusted prices across the board to reflect the fact I've managed to make it easier for myself to make them now. If anyone is after anything for the upcoming AWS please let me know sooner rather than later, it makes it much easier to ensure I have all the right parts available and there is less of a rush when it gets to the week of the event! This goes for if anyone wants custom 3D printing aswell, the earlier the better.

I am still waiting on some parts for nano kits but it is looking to be about ~£15ish for a kit (without battery due to postal restrictions).

Quick reminder if you want anything posting in time for the AWS you should get your order in this week. If you are after anything for me to bring to the AWS then don't leave it to the night before! :)

I've removed the nanoweight stuff from the store as overall I'm not fully happy with them. They have a tendency to wear out over time leading to high maintenance.

To save myself some sanity I made myself a spreadsheet with standard kinds of ants on it I can do commissions for:

After noticing pololu had dropped their price I have followed suit and dropped mine to match. All silicone wheel are now £1 less!

I have also removed the neoprene wheels as there isn't really an advantage to them over the higher quality moulded wheels. They'll still be available to those who have already purchased them though.

Hay Alex should the 30:1 gearbox micro-motor be fine with the 22mm x 8mm wheels? I just did a test drive with them, and they seemed a bit slow.

They'll be fine but obviously ~2/3rd the speed of the 30mm wheels. Most robots run 32mm + 30:1 gearmotors on 8.4v (2S LiPo)
